About Us Karate Training and Self Defence

SFKA is a Member of the International Sporting Karate Association - ISKA & the Martial Arts Industry Association - MAIA.

Shihan Frank is a fully qualified Karate Instructor, having attained Level 1 in Coaching Accreditation with the MAIA. He is also a qualified Active After School Coach with the Australian Sports Commission.

He has been training & teaching Karate in the Blacktown area for the last 20 years with numerous Karate Clubs in Australia.

Shihan Frank was awarded the ISKA Karate Instructor of the Year in 2008 and inducted into Karate Hall of Fame.

SFKA teaches a combination of Jujitsu, Karate Kickboxing with an emphasis on Self Defence.

Classes are designed to improve your confidence, concentration & Awareness. Not only will you improve your fitness, but you will also learn valuable Life Skills.

Shihan today is a 4th Dan Black Belt

Shihan has developed the skills and knowledge to ensure quality instruction of a curriculum with depth, all set in a friendly atmosphere.

Training classes are run to a high standard and student safety is paramount; all designed to ensure our training is effective.

All students are treated with respect and our low cost entry fees assist those wishing to enjoy their karate training

At Shihan Franks Karate Academy your instructors are all Dan level, and very experienced trainers.

Our instructors teach structure and discipline. The history and philosophy of karate is explained and correct karate techniques are taught from the day you start.

You will be trained in the art of using your weight and momentum in punches, kicks and strikes, as well as joint locks, throws, take 'downs and use of pressure points.
